My Fiscally Responsible Platform

Through my active involvement in 29 community volunteer organizations over the past 4 decades, I have had the opportunity to serve in leadership roles and receive numerous awards.

My years of experience within the professional business community along with my past service as City Council member has prepared me to address the issues before our city council at this time as seen in my platform top 4 priorities.

• Freeze taxes, fees, and hiring until cost reduction goals are approved.
• Establish a task force to reduce City Government.
• Support Mayor's first funding for police, fire, EMS and basic services.
• Allow Fire and EMS to transport patients ending use of Sunstar.

About Bob Kersteen

My wife, Judith, and I have lived in the same house in District 1 for 47 years. We have two children and three grandchildren. I am a retired telecommunications executive with a large, nationwide corporation. Since 1973, I have been active, and with leadership positions in, 29 community volunteer organizations, receiving numerous awards for my service. My community service also includes six active years as a member of the St Petersburg City Council.

My name is Robert A. "Bob" Kersteen. I am a candidate for the District One seat on the City of St. Petersburg City Council.  I previously served in this seat from April 1995 thru November of 2000.
